Ryan Toth, Owner/Lead Trainer

Transformation Specialist Ryan Toth Brings a Fitness Revolution to the Northeast

Ryan Toth is creating a fitness revolution in the state of New Jersey.  Toth, owner of Total Core Fitness Boot Camp, has been responsible for introducing a new style of fitness training to his area that others have difficulty duplicating.  He refers to his unique facility as the “Anti-gym” because of the contrary philosophy when it comes to work out strategy and mindset.  Now with two locations in New Jersey’s Middlesex County, he refers to his boot camp experience as, “A fun workout with killer results” and has designed it for everyone at any fitness level and at any age.  Toth, a Certified Personal Trainer, is also certified in numerous other areas and is recognized as a Youth and Adolescent Fitness Trainer as well as a Core Functional Training Specialist.  He now has over four-hundred clients who are experiencing transforming results through his unique and intense training style.  As a result, many now refer to him as a “Transformation Specialist.”

Toth indicates most of his clients see a significant change in their appearance and how they feel within only fifteen days.  According to Toth, “Many people came through the doors saying they were going to try us out for two weeks and now, three years later, they are still with us.  One of the main reasons is we work hard, we have fun doing it, and we show you results along the way.  Each of our clients get individualized attention.  We monitor their numbers with them to help them get the results they desire.  We will adapt our program to their individual needs.”  Toth indicates his program has evolved from general fitness to helping people lose weight or achieve the level of athleticism they desire to attain.  Most of his clientele cover a broad range from people in their early twenties to people well into their fifties.  He even has one recent new member that is seventy-five years old.

Toth, a graduate of Kean University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, began his career in the fitness industry after becoming a Certified Personal Trainer in 2004.  He initially offered at-home training then went to his local YMCA where he was hired as a trainer.  After much persuasion from Toth, the YMCA allowed him to begin a boot camp to train people, in his words, “how to work out without working out.”  He had six people in his first class with outstanding results.  His second class attracted twenty-two people and his third class increased to thirty-two people.  Many people then began joining the YMCA just to participate in Toth’s boot camp.  It was at this point in 2007 that Toth decided he would strike out on his own and run his boot camps independently.  He originally began operating in local parks, then moved into rented space, and eventually was able to obtain his own building.  He then quickly outgrew the building and had to find a larger facility.  Now he has two locations in Sayreville, New Jersey and Metuchen, New Jersey.  Because of continued growth, Toth will soon move his Metuchen facility to another building that has twice the square footage.  Toth points out that the growth of his business has been during the deepest part of a national recession.  This speaks to the quality of the program Toth is able to provide his clients.  He says, “Our camp is growing and that is because of our awesome results and amazing clients. We feature cost-effective fitness programs led by trained and certified fitness experts.  There are no enrollment fees or other costs beyond your chosen weight loss and fitness program. In addition, unlike other personal training programs, Total Core Fitness Boot Camp provides a money-back guarantee.”

Toth spends time researching his industry to find what is working and what is not working.  He also takes time to listen to his own clients and collects information from them regarding his own program.  He takes all this information under advisement and adjusts his program accordingly so he can maximize the effectiveness of each of his workouts.  Interestingly, in over five years Toth has never repeated the same workout routine in his sessions.  He has no machines with which to workout and no televisions to watch during the workout.  He simply runs a back-to-basics type workout with very simple but highly effective techniques.  As a result, people with different levels of physical fitness are able to participate in the same workout session.  For those clients that may not be as physically fit as the person next to them, Toth has a regression exercise that is a modification of the exercise they are assigned.  Eventually, the participant will move beyond the regressive exercise and continue to progress in their workout.  For example, if a person has a difficult time doing a regular push up, Toth will have them do the push up with their knees on the ground until they have progressed to the point of doing a traditional push up.

Between the two boot camp facilities, Toth operates thirteen classes every day, Monday through Thursday.  For most participants, they purposefully take the weekend off.  However, they do also offer a specialized class on Friday and Saturday.  They also offer sessions to help some of their clients prepare for special event such as marathons, triathlons, and Tough Mudder competitions.

Toth believes his success is due in part to the fact that he will not accept failure.  Toth says, “If I get knocked down I get right back up.  I played a lot of sports growing up and played football in high school and college.  I know what it’s like to train for things.”  Whatever he does has to be at a one-hundred percent effort level.  Working between twelve to sixteen hours a day, he puts a significant amount of his time and effort into making his business successful.  He is married with three children and tries to involve his family in his business as much as possible.  Toth said, “It’s not unusual to see my family in the building.  My kids love to come here to see where I work and what I do.”  Toth’s wife also commented, “He is such a passionate person, and when he wants to do something, he dedicates everything to making it happen.  I truly admire that about him.  His dedication to his business is a mirror image of his dedication to his family.  He would do anything to help his business succeed, as he would do anything for his family.”

Toth states, “Our tag line is, ‘New Jersey’s fitness revolution.’  We use that phrase a lot because we are revolutionizing the way people look at training.  I was actually the first boot camp in Central Jersey.  Until I started, there was no other boot camp in existence here.  Now there are boot camps popping up everywhere.  We were ahead of the game.  People know who we are, even people in other parts of the state.  People see what we are doing and they want to know how it works. I’m not a trainer who just got lucky.  I have purposely built this business in a deliberate way, and it works.  In my area, I am the top trainer in my niche training methods.  I’m not afraid to share with others how we have become successful.  I will tell them exactly what I do.  But, it takes work.  If someone is not willing to put the work and time into it, they won’t succeed.  My clients know I’m all in, all the time.  I’m always on the move.  I’m always adding new programs.  I’m always listening to my clients.  I’m proactive and innovative and I stay ahead of the trends.  And, I don’t believe you should have to be wealthy to have a trainer.  We make our program affordable for almost everyone.”  Toth continues, “We are a family.  If someone is negative and brings down the group, I will dismiss them from the program.  Everyone is here to help each other and to encourage each other.  We work as a team.  I have clients that have been with me for over five years and I have a passionate dedication to my clients.”

Toth has a plethora of success stories.  One individual came to him at three-hundred seventy pounds and lost fifty pounds within the first three months.  That person is still in the program two years later and has continued to lose weight and improve their overall health.  His website is filled with video testimonials of participants who have seen significant results from the program.  It is not surprising to know that his business grows mainly by referrals from people that have been through the program and are pleased with their results.

Toth’s business has experienced rapid growth over the past year.  Just sixteen months ago, he was the only trainer of fifty-five clients in one facility.  Today, he has well over four-hundred clients, two facilities, and five employees.  Toth sees a very bright future ahead for his business.  He has his sights set on opening two more facilities at sometime in the future in the Central Jersey area.  He is also planning to open an online training site for individuals that want to participate in his workout programs in their own home.  Toth also is working on developing a program in a niche market where no one else is participating, but details of that venture remain confidential at this point.  He is the co-author of the book, Fat Free Fitness Formula which will be released later this year.  Additionally, because of his contribution to his industry and the success of his business, he is being featured as one of America’s PremierExperts® Trendsetters in INC Magazine.  Additional information about Toth and the fitness revolution he has created throughout New Jersey via Total Core Fitness Boot Camp can be found at http://www.totalcorefitcamp.com.
